This 7 string jazz guitar was built by Paul Herman (now boss of Wal basses) in 2000. At the same time he built a 6 string sister guitar that was featured in Just Jazz guitar magazine. This semi-solid guitar with a Kent Armstrong pickup produces a wonderfully even jazz tone across its range making it an ideal solo or duo jazz guitar. The fretboard is wide enough for fingering to feel easy but not too wide and 6 string players would adapt very easily to playing this guitar. This guitar was originally owned by Ray Russell the legendary jazz/rock and studio guitarist in London and appeared on two of his albums (copies included with the guitar). A functional hard case is included.
